This speech is given by Kiyoshi Ikenaga sensei at the Japan Shiatsu College in Japan in October 1, 2009. Ikenaga sensei graduated from this school, and was licensed as a Shiatsu Practitioner by the Ministry of Health in Japan. Passionate and wanting to spread the knowledge of Japanese Shiatsu, he moved to Canada and established the Japan Shiatsu Clinic, Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy, and Canadian Shiatsu Society of British Columbia in Vancouver. He has always been passionate of Shiatsu. Ikenaga sensei spoke about the differences of cultures and law in Canada and in Japan. He also talked about how he has familiarized Shiatsu in Canada and how he has performed what Tokujiro Namikoshi sensei, the founder of Shiatsu, wrote in his book called ” Oyayubi Ichidai”. At the end of the speech, there was a questions and answers session and many students were interested and curious.

これは、2009年10月1日に、日本指圧専門学校後期始業式において行われた、池永清先生による講演「カナダBC州における指圧普及」が収録されているビデオです。池永先生は第28期 卒業生として日本指圧専門学校を卒業後、日本厚生労働省認可の指圧師免許を取得。「世界中の、一人でも多くの人に日本の正しい指圧を受けていただきた い。」という思いを胸に、単身カナダに渡り、その後カナダ・バンクーバーにおいて、指圧クリニック、指圧カレッジ、そして指圧協会を設立されました。今現 在もカナダにおける指圧の普及活動に情熱をそそがれています。池永先生は、日本とカナダの法律システムの違いや、また来加以来、カナダにおいてどのように 指圧の普及活動をされてきたか、またその中で、指圧の創始者浪越徳治郎先生の著書「おやゆび一代」に記載されていた事をいかに実践されてきたかなど、様々 なエピソードなどお話されています。講演の最後には質疑応答の時間なども設けられ、その様子からは学生の興味深さをうかがい知る事ができます。
